Nintendo Wii With Guitar Hero (Free with Selected Mobile Phones)
The Nintendo Wii has had a lot of criticism over the years that it has been out but there is no doubt that giving users a new way to interact with their console has been a great success. The other thing that Nintendo has done well is increase the number of controller options as the console has aged. The Wii Balance Board was an example of this as is the Wii Motion Plus. Another form of controller that is now very popular on the Wii was not created by Nintendo however but was made for the Guitar Hero games.
Unless you are a complete novice in gaming you will probably have heard of the guitar hero series. In short, they are games where the gamer uses a controller shaped like a guitar to play along to famous rock songs by top bands such as the Foo Fighters and Metallica. The games have become very popular because they appeal to everyone’s inner dream of becoming a famous rock star. They also have the right balance between being easy to pick up and play but also very difficult to master as anyone who has played on the harder difficulty settings will tell you.
When you are buying a Nintendo Wii with Guitar Hero remember that the guitar controller itself will cost extra money on top of the console unless you can find a package that includes both.
Guitar Hero Review
While it is difficult to give an overall rating to Guitar Hero because there are so many versions, in general you can be assured that you are buying a great game. The version that you choose to buy with your Nintendo Wii will depend mainly on whether you want to buy the latest version but also on which has the best soundtrack for your music tastes. Each game has its own “Set List” that includes a wide range of songs o-so you should pick a game that has your favourites on as it’s much more enjoyable to play along with songs that you know and love.
While the newer versions of the game might not be getting the same high scores as the first game that doesn’t necessarily mean that the games are any worse. In fact they have more features and a wider list of songs but have not got the same high reviews because they no longer have the novelty value as before.
You can also buy versions of Guitar Hero that are centred on a specific band and just include songs from them. For example you can buy a Metallica version which is definitely a great choice if you are buying for a hardcore metal fan. You can also get an Aerosmith version.
If you are looking for a completely new way to play computer games then you should definitely consider buying a Nintendo Wii with Guitar Hero. While you have to spend extra on buying the guitar if you want the full experience, it does make a huge different to the game and before long you will be a rock god!
